Led by museum collections specialist Nicole Fletcher, with nearly two decades of experience working with cultural collections.
I believe a collection is only as strong as its organization. Dedicated to the meticulous care of cultural collections, I specialize in the structural work that keeps history alive: from navigating the complexities of copyright and digital licensing to the physical reorganization of archival legacies.I provide guidance for artists and institutions looking to protect their intellectual property and care for their physical holdings. No matter the size of the collection or organization, the goal is the same: to ensure that cultural content is organized, protected, and accessible for generations to come.
Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Treaty 1 Territory and the homeland of the Red River Métis, Fletcher & Co. is led by museum professional Nicole Fletcher, with the occasional and largely unhelpful assistance of a small feline support team.

Nicole Fletcher, Principal, is a museum professional and collections specialist with nearly two decades of experience working with cultural collections. Since beginning her career in museums in 2006, she has developed extensive expertise in the documentation, organization, and stewardship of artworks and archival materials. Her work focuses on the systems that allow collections to function over time: clear inventory structures, responsible collections management practices, and careful navigation of copyright and image licensing. Nicole has worked closely with artists, estates, and institutions to bring order and clarity to complex holdings, helping ensure that cultural materials remain both protected and accessible.Nicole holds a BA in Art History and an MA in History. Through her consulting practice, she applies her museum-based experience to support clients who need thoughtful, practical approaches to managing both physical and digital cultural assets.

Loki, Director of Strategic Napping, brings nearly twenty years of experience to her field. Her contributions to collections management remain minimal, but she still demands credit.
Much of the work that sustains collections happens quietly behind the scenes, through documentation, organization, and respect for the objects. Our work touches many aspects of museum and collections practice, but the areas below reflect where I spend most of my time.

Collections Stewardship - Good stewardship begins with understanding what a collection holds and why it matters. I work with artists, estates, and institutions to strengthen documentation and care practices, ensuring collections are well managed and preserved over time. Grounded in museum experience, my approach reflects the day-to-day realities of collections work.
Rights & Licensing - Copyright and reproduction rights shape how collections can be shared, published, and accessed while also supporting respectful relationships with artists. I help clients navigate image licensing, permissions, and rights documentation so that materials can circulate responsibly and ethically.
System Organization - Collections rely on resilient, well-structured systems. I work with clients to bring clarity to collection processes, including digital asset management and licensing workflows, so that collections can be used effectively and ethically. Clear organization supports research, exhibitions, and the ongoing care of cultural materials.
